**Growth Equity / Venture Capital Associate
Atlanta, GA - Technology & Healthcare (Series A-C Focus)**
Role Overview
As a Growth Equity / Venture Capital Associate, you will play a central role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments across high‑growth technology and healthcare companies from Series A through Series C. You will drive analytical workstreams, support deal execution, and partner with portfolio companies to accelerate growth. This role combines financial rigor, strategic thinking, and deep curiosity about scaling technology and healthcare innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Sourcing & Market Research
• Identify attractive markets within technology and healthcare, including SaaS, digital health, tech‑enabled services, AI/ML, provider‑enablement solutions, and data infrastructure.
• Build thematic investment theses by assessing market size, adoption trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory factors, and whitespace opportunities.
• Develop and maintain founder relationships, attend industry events, and track emerging early‑stage ecosystems across the Southeast and broader U.S.
- Financial Analysis & Diligence
• Build and audit financial models evaluating revenue visibility, cohort performance, customer retention, LTV/CAC, gross margin scalability, and cash runway.
• Conduct operational deep dives into unit economics, pricing strategy, sales efficiency, and product metrics.
• Perform diligence across product, technology, customer surveys/NPS, regulatory considerations, and competitive benchmarking.
• Synthesize findings into investment committee materials, including deal memos, valuation work, and risk/mitigation frameworks.
- Deal Execution & Transaction Support
• Manage workflows with founders, bankers, legal counsel, and third‑party diligence providers.
• Support term sheet negotiation, data room organization, and preparation of investment documentation.
• Develop clear, insight‑driven presentations for partners and the investment committee.
- Portfolio Support & Value Creation
• Track key performance indicators, board materials, and operational milestones of portfolio companies.
• Partner with founders on strategic initiatives such as go‑to‑market improvements, customer segmentation, pricing strategy, and growth forecasting.
• Monitor competitive landscapes, help recruit key hires, and support follow‑on fundraising or exit initiatives.
Qualifications
• 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, growth equity, venture capital, private equity, consulting, or relevant analytical roles.
• Strong financial modeling skills, particularly around recurring‑revenue businesses, healthcare metrics, and technology‑enabled services.
• Ability to evaluate early‑stage companies with imperfect data and convert insights into clear investment logic.
• Intellectual curiosity about startups, innovation, and scaling durable business models.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with founders, advisors, and internal investment teams.
• Experience analyzing technology or healthcare business models strongly preferred.
